Autograph letter signed, dated : Hosterwitz, 12 August 1819, to [Count Carl von Brühl], 1819 Aug. 12.

Sending the libretto of his opera [Der Freischütz], saying that if it agreeable to Brühl perhaps he could set a day when they can meet to discuss it in person, since he still hopes to have the opera performed in Berlin that winter, adding that letters to him need only be addressed to Dresden; below the salutation, in another hand: Die Jägersbraut [the original title of Der Freischütz].
